Highways improvement works are scheduled for the A50 through Cranage. Works will commence on 11th March and take place between 7pm and 6am. Works will take approximately 6 nights excluding weekends.

The consultation for a carbon capture and storage pipeline project is now active - running until 27 February 2026. The pipeline proposes to reduce carbon emissions from production of lime and cement in the Peak District by transporting it (as CO2 gas) via an underground pipeline out into the Irish seabed.
