Despite challenging weather conditions, local residents came together yesterday (Sunday 29th March) for a determined and highly successful community litter pick across the parish. Battling the wind and heavy rain, a group of 13 volunteers showed fantastic commitment to improving our local environment.

Their efforts have made a significant impact; by the end of the session, the team had collected an impressive 21 bags of rubbish. Among the more unusual items removed were a discarded television, a car battery, a battery power bank, several wheel trims, and a number of metal poles.

In addition to clearing litter, volunteers also identified and reported several fly-tipping sites. These were located along Kings Lane and on open land south of Needham Drive, helping to ensure further action can be taken to address these ongoing issues.

A huge THANK YOU goes out to all 13 helpers, along with the councillors who ran the event, who braved the elements to help tidy up the parish. Your efforts are truly appreciated and make a real difference to the local area.
